Very good news that the patent and trademark office has dismissed Mattel Inc.’s claim against SHOOTHIT’s card design, which indicates that there is still justice in the world.
These multinationals try to monopolize the markets with their law firms all over the world. We will be smaller but we exist ;P
This event caused too many months of delay, stopping the release on Kickstarter causing the KICKSTARTER event NOT to go forward. We are sorry this bad new.

We regret to inform that Mattel Inc. with the UNO cards has objected in our card design and therefore has stopped our kickstarter project causing a delay.
We also make sure that the game will come out even if we have to modify the whole design again, we have plenty of creativity.
We want to report what happened with the kickstarter with transparency so that people can understand the reason of the delay even if it hurts us since many people will take sides with Mattel due is notoriety and power. And so we provide some facts.
FACTS
After having patented in Spain the design of SHOOTHIT cards on 11/11/2020 with publication in the official gazette on 12/22/2020 with the approval of the technicians and the trademark and patent office.
the IMPLEMENTATION REGULATION OF LAW 20/2003, OF JULY 7, ON THE LEGAL PROTECTION OF INDUSTRIAL DESIGN and the Opposition Procedures in Article 24. On Presentation and basis of oppositions: 1. The term for the presentation of oppositions will be two months, counted from the date on which the registered design is published in the “Official Gazette of Industrial Property”
After the period of 2 months and convinced of our right, we planned to launch the kickstarter in April.
And to our surprise we received an opposition dated 03/08/2021, when the law (above) stipulates that any opposition can t be after two months.
Mattel Inc. say that the cards are identical, please compare yourself
MATTEL INC. CLAIMS
Mattel Inc claims as cited ex: Within that figure numbers, objects or figures are represented. / Those numbers, objects or figures are represented in reduced size in the upper left corners of each card / playing card. There is no possible use a card if we are not to be able to use the corners on a card .
And we think it is totally against the author’s freedom, opposing by citing generic words that englobe everything, prohibiting the right to any creative or inspiration.
OUR APOLOGIZE FOR THE DELAY , WE WILL CONTINUE TO INFORM AND WORK TO LAUNCH THE KICKSTRATER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
